People
Lynette is a community ecologist specialising in intertidal systems, using them as a model to understand the processes that shape biodiversity across scales. Her research combines field experiments and quantitative approaches to test ecological theory and inform biodiversity conservation.
Principal Investigator
Dr. Lynette H. L. Loke
Luka Armstrong-Wallis
MSc Student
Luka began his MSc research in July 2025 and is interested in the links between biodiversity and spatial complexity. His current project explores how habitat structure influences biodiversity in rocky intertidal shorelines, with the broader goal of applying these insights to improve conservation efforts.
Eleanor Birks
Undergraduate Research Student
Eleanor is a Norwegian undergraduate student studying marine biology with a focus on coastal ecosystems. Her current project explores species interactions in intertidal communities, and she hopes to pursue a career in coastal research.
Emma is completing a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, specialising in marine systems. She is working on a project exploring trophic interactions on rocky shores in Port Phillip Bay and is interested in Australia’s southern marine ecosystems, the human impacts they face, and their protection.
